Niklas awarded Brain Tumour Charity Future Leaders Fellowship
Niklas Grassl is a clinician-scientist in neuro-oncology whose research focuses on understanding and overcoming treatment resistance in primary brain tumours, particularly diffuse midline glioma. His work combines functional genomics, gene editing, advanced sequencing, and epigenomic profiling to identify mechanisms of tumour evolution and to develop more personalised therapeutic strategies. His postdoctoral research is supported by a Brain Tumour Charity Future Leaders Fellowship, which will enable him to build an independent research programme translating molecular insights into improved treatments for children and young adults with brain tumours.
